What you control
Every card you issue is visible in the same ledger — no reconciling across bank portals.
Assign each card a monthly spend cap. Freeze or permanently close any card in one action — with immediate effect on Stripe's network. No waiting for a bank to process the request.
Every card transaction lands in one ledger with merchant name, category, and timestamp. Reconcile in minutes, not days. Export a clean file for your accountant or ERP.
Create a card in seconds — no physical card required, no bank branch visit, no waiting period. Card details are available the moment issuance completes.
Common uses
One card per subscription. Cancel a vendor by closing the card — no shared credentials, no surprise renewals.
Dedicated cards for Google, Meta, and LinkedIn with limits matched to each campaign budget. Spend caps prevent overrun.
Issue each team member or department their own card. All spend rolls up into one view — no expense reports, no receipt chasing.
Nigerian and Ghanaian businesses use the Financiar USD card to pay international suppliers who invoice in USD — no local card required.
Card security
Card issuance runs on Stripe Issuing's network. Card numbers are tokenised at issuance and never stored in plaintext on Financiar's servers. Every spend record is encrypted at rest with AES-256.
Stripe issues the card number token — Financiar never holds the plaintext PAN.
Transaction records stored as ciphertext. Decrypted only for authorised ledger views.
Issuing a card, adjusting limits, and freezing all require your transaction PIN, verified server-side on every request.

On card actions
Virtual cards do not require a physical card — no delivery wait, no lost-card risk. Freeze and reissue in under 30 seconds.
USD, EUR, and GBP via Stripe Issuing. The currency available depends on your account region. Nigerian and Ghanaian businesses get a USD card. US accounts get USD, UK accounts get GBP, EU/EEA accounts get EUR. Canada accounts get USD.
No. For Nigerian businesses, Financiar issues a USD virtual card for international spend — not a Naira card. It is intended for paying international services (SaaS, ad platforms, suppliers who invoice in USD). You cannot use it at Nigerian POS terminals in the same way as a local debit card.
Not yet. Virtual card issuance is on the roadmap for Rwanda and South Africa. These accounts have full access to payroll, expense management, wallet funding, and same-currency payouts.
Cards are issued through Stripe Issuing. Card numbers are tokenised by Stripe and never stored in plaintext on Financiar's servers. All spend data is encrypted at rest with AES-256. Authentication for sensitive card actions requires your transaction PIN.
You can issue multiple virtual cards — per team member, per department, per vendor, or per SaaS tool. Each card has its own limit and spend trail. Exact card limits per account are shown in-app after KYC verification.
