Common questions

Can a Nigerian business open a Brex account?

Brex is primarily designed for US-incorporated entities. Nigerian businesses without a US entity are generally not eligible for Brex's core products. Financiar is designed specifically for businesses incorporated in Nigeria and other African markets, with full account, payroll, and card access without requiring a US entity.

Does Financiar have a credit card like Brex?

No. Financiar issues prepaid virtual debit cards via Stripe Issuing — you fund the card from your account balance and spend what you have. There is no credit line, no rewards programme, and no credit underwriting. Brex's credit card product is a distinct offering that requires US incorporation and qualification.

Does Financiar integrate with accounting tools like Brex does?

Financiar provides transaction exports for accounting and reconciliation. Deep native integrations with NetSuite, QuickBooks, and similar tools are on the roadmap. If your current workflow depends on Brex's native accounting integrations, that is worth factoring in to your evaluation.
